In November of 2018 I founded Coastal Cat Care in Charleston, SC. I worked for different pet sitting services over the years and completely fell in love with the profession. For me, the natural progression was to start working on my own brand. After living in Charleston on and off for 10 years I decided it was the perfect place for my business to take root. Coastal Cat Care was born and the lifelong dream of running my own company became a fast reality.

 

My love for cats, and really all animals, began early on growing up in rural Waxhaw, North Carolina. My family had a fierce indoor/outdoor cat, dogs, horses, turtles, the fleeting hamster and any other critters I could smuggle into the house. Our cat, Cookie, was rescued from the mountains of NC and I always specifcally enjoyed our bond.

 

Later in life my husband and I rescued 2 kittens, Panda & Xena, from Moncks Corner via a sketchy Craiglist ad in the summer of 2012 while we were attending Charleston Southern University. Ultimately those two perfect trash cats became the inspiration of wanting to offer a more specialized pet sitting experience to my community that would only cater to cats and their unique needs. Getting to know and understand my own cat's personalities truly transformed my thinking on what it means to care for cats and I hope to bring this perspective to your feline companions.

It is well understood that cats prefer to stay in their sacred environments and it is my goal to provide a service to our clients that puts their mind at ease while away. We are here to make sure your kitty gets to enjoy his/her daily routine in the comfort of their own home, not from a crate in a kennel. With each visit we try to build a relationship with your feline children to invoke trust and familiarity.

 

I have always understood the importance of trust, paying close attention to detail, and responsibility that comes with caring for your cat(s) in your own home. We vow to treat each home and kitty just like our very own!
